Sustainability Social Hour

OKC Beautiful's Sustainability Social Hour is for those who love the environment and our city. Each session is centered around networking with those who have a passion for and want to learn more about environmental stewardship topics.

Each session features a conversational Q&A with a guest speaker. June features Max Harris, a Senior Planner with the City of Oklahoma City, focusing on cycling and pedestrian initiatives in the Transportation Planning Program. 

The event includes a mix and mingle portion from 5:00- 5:30, then kicks off the one-hour Q&A session.

Max Harris is a Senior Planner with the City of Oklahoma City Planning Department in the Transportation Planning Program. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography from the University of Central Oklahoma and his Master of Regional and City Planning degree from the University of Oklahoma. Max has worked in various aspects of multimodal transportation planning, including the development of the City’s first comprehensive bicycle and pedestrian plan, bikewalkokc, the attainment of multiple state and federal grants, and the implementation of sidewalk, bike, trail, and streetscape projects. His team coordinates regularly with partner agencies, City Councilmembers, local organizations, districts and neighborhoods.
