Join us in honoring our Executive Director's retirement!
After more than 16 years of service to OKC Beautiful, Lisa B. Synar has announced her retirement, with her last day of service on April 30. There will be a retirement reception at the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits on May 1, 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. There will be beverages and heavy hors d'oeuvres. The event is come-and-go, with speeches at 6:00 p.m.
Synar began her tenure with OKC Beautiful in November 2008. Prior to this, she worked for 16 years in a management role at AT&T (formerly Southwestern Bell) before becoming a small business owner and managing a retail store in Edmond, Okla. In her time with OKC Beautiful, she expanded programming and worked on several community projects, including the two-block-long art installation along Classen Boulevard (between 6th and 8th Street), installation of numerous median landscaping projects, increases in volunteer programming, and…
