Sustainable Urban Landscape Conference

Learn more about saving money, water, and environmental impacts with your landscaping efforts. This conference will include classes on incorporating native plants, reducing water usage, "unyarding" your yard, and more. All are welcome to attend. The conference registration fee is $15 and includes lunch.

• 9:00 - 9:30: Check in and mix and mingle with vendors.
• 9:30 - 10:30: Urban Conservation and the Yard by Yard Project, with Marcus Long, Oklahoma County Conservation District
• 10:45 - 11:45: Drought Tolerant Plants, with Julia Laughlin, Oklahoma County OSU Extension
• 11:45 - 12:45: Lunch and Q&A panel with Katie Hawk (Okies for Monarchs), Walter Jacques (local resident), Cheryl Cheadle (Oklahoma Blue Thumb), Julia Laughlin (Oklahoma County Extension), and Paul Mays (Blue House Urban Farm)
• 12:45 - 1:45: Ecological Lawn Care by Julia Laughlin, Oklahoma County OSU Extension
• 2:00 - 3:00: Unlawning Your Lawn, with Paul Mays, Blue House Urban Farm
• 3:00: Optional Rainfall Demonstration with Oklahoma Conservation Commission and Garden Tours with Volunteer Master Gardeners
